Computer Science Major
All Computer Science majors must choose one of the two
available concentrations. Below are the requirements for the Computer
Science Concentration (CSCI). Also available is the Web Applications Engineer
Concentration (CSWE).
Computer Science Concentration (CSCI)
The major in Computer Science prepares graduates to enter positions as
software specialists in industry or commerce, or to enter graduate
programs in computer science, operations research or computers in
management.
- Computer Science Component -- 33 semester hours of CSC courses
which include:
- Mathematics Component -- 18 semester hours which include:
* MTH 141 is co-requisite to any
400-level CSC
course for this
concentration.
- All majors are required to earn a passing score on an approved
comprehensive examination. The two examinations approved for this
purpose are
