  • CSC 380 Advanced Database Systems
  • CSC 400 Operating Systems
  • CSC 420 Formal Languages and Automata

• Mathematics Component -- 10 - 11 semester hours of MTH courses which include:
  • MTH 135 Introduction to Probability and Statistics or MTH 141 Calculus I
  • MTH 161 Discrete Mathematics I

• Art Component -- 2 semester hours:
  • ART 225 Introduction to Computer Imaging
• All majors are required to earn a passing score on an approved comprehensive examination. The two examinations approved for this purpose are
  • the Major Field Achievement Test (Computer Science) published by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and
  • the Computer Science Subject Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
