| Berea's records of burials for 1876 say "May 10 Giesen [age] 14" (InterID 356); that may be the same person. There is no entry for a Kisson, nor are there any census records for Giesens. Nothing was reported in the local newspapers under either or any similar name. Labaj lists the person as a female. In 1904, her tombstone was transcribed as "Athelheit Kisson, b. Sept. 17, 1865, d. May 9, 1876." By 1934, the tombstone was gone. No alternative burial place is listed on findagrave.com, nationally, for a Kisson. The only Kisson in the 1870 Ohio census is Arthur W. Kisson, in Northfield Twp., Summit County, a neighbor of Abner Hunt. He was 28, a lawyer with $5,000 real estate and $200 personal property, born in Ohio, married to Jane, 25, born in England. Children were William (3) and Alfred (1), both born in Ohio. He is not in any subsequent census. There is no probable match for a marriage license in Cuyahoga County. Not located by visual search of Woodvale Cemetery, sections A, B1, B2, B3, BB, X, or 1. If moved to Woodvale, he would probably be near those exhumed in the early 1900s--try sections 2, 3, 6, or 7. |
