Lonson married Jane Haver on 22 September 1842. He was on the first board of trustees for Baldwin Institute, 1846 (Shaw 32). His inscription appears on the Brown family monument, which is a zinc obelisk (rare material); the inscription was recorded in 1904 and 1934 with the following information: "LONSON BROWN, born Jan. 7, 1814; married to JANE HAVER ADAMS Sept. 22, 1842, d. Nov 30, 1854. JANE HAVER, born July 27, 1822. Married to Horace Adams, [2nd husband], Sept. 12, 1873, d. Aug. 31, 1883. LEWIS J., son of L and J. H. Brown, b. May 17, 1852, d. March 8, 1853. DAVID, son of R. and E. Brown, d. Sept. 13, 1858 ae. 1 yr 4 mo 8 da." There are no census records for Lonson Brown, although Jane Haver Brown is enumerated in the 1870 census with William Brown.
