comments
The 1904 grave inscription for Mabel Card states, "Mabel M., b 1868, d. 1887." Mabel was the daughter of Harris Card, the Berea village furniture maker and undertaker (see entry for Harris Card). She was born in 1868, was enumerated in her father's family in 1870 at age 2, and in 1880 at age 12, when she was attending school. Her family moved to Lorrain in the mid-1880s. She died in 1887, of causes that remain unknown to us. The Cuyahoga County Cemetery Inscription state, "Mabel M 1868-1887."
