In 1904, the inscription on the family tombstone read: "Hon. Thomas Crawford, d. Sep 1857, ae 80 yrs" "David Crawford, d. Apr. 18, 1861, ae 37 [or 87]" "Agnes d. Sept. 20[?]" Over the years the stone has been broken and is now (2007) nearly illegible; only Agnes's name still visible. Possibly daughter of John Crawford, quarryman from Scotland, Agnes age 18 in 1860 Census, but there is no David nor Thomas in that family (David could be a brother to John, Thomas father to John…but as this Thomas died in 1857, he could not be in the online census 1860 and the 1820 is too early for Berea)
