comments
The 1904 Loomis transcription says "F. Daemmer d. July 24, 1860, ae 8 weeks" The 1934 transcription judged the stone illegible. In 2007 the stone was judged legible: "F. Daemmer DIED ……AG….KS" Stone is blackened, spalling, and mossy. City's list for 1860 says "July 22 Florence daughter of Wm. Dammer 2 m." Her death followed the death of her mother, Mary, on May 26, 1860. Babies did not often survive the deaths of their mothers in an era when formula was not available.
