lot
plot
uncertain, but based on 1934 transcription of his stone, he should be in lot 24 purchased by his mother Louisa Johnson. His father, Jno, is buried there, so best guess is 24, R9 G6 by giant stump.
relations
Rev. Jonathan L. Johnson (father, d. 1850) Louisa L. Johnson (mother, d. 1853) Francis Johnson (older brother, d. age 1)

comments
Charley was an orphan. He was enumerated in the 1860 census: age 13, working as farm laborer on Hiram Pease's farm in Russia Twp, Lorrain Cty. This makes sense, since his father Jonathan died in 1850 and his probable mother Louisa in 1853. The Inscriptions from the Old Village Cemetery state, "Johnson, Charley E., d Apr. 21, 1864, ae. 17 yrs. 21 da." Relationship to Jno Johnson from 1934 inscription list that places him with Jno and Louisa Johnson, and from Berea's list of burials for 1864, which says "Apr. 23 Charles son of J.S. Johnson [Johnston with t crossed out]" 19th century Ls often look like Ss. The Cuyahoga County Cemetery Inscription states, "Charley E. Johnson, died Apr 21, 1861, age 12 (or 17?)."
