comments
Newman Clark was aged 2 years and 3 months at death. He was one of 3 brothers, all of whom died before age 5. The 1904 Inscriptions from the Old Village Cemetery states, "Newman H., son of M.D. and M.E. Clark, d. Feb 28 1860." For more information, see entries for Mitchell Clark (#31) and Mary E. Hulet (#106), especially the obituary, which says he and his brother Newton were stricken on the same day with black diptheria and were buried in the same coffin.
