comments
She was enumerated in the 1850 census in Middleburg, age 46, born in VA, living with her husband John F. Crane (48) a stonecutter, born in PA. The 1904 Inscriptions from the Old Village Cemetery states, "Rebecca, wife of J.F. Crane. d. Dec 4, 1854, ae 50 yrs. 8 mo. 18 da." Lot 29 was purchased by J.F. Crane. Neither Rebecca nor JF enumerated in 1860 or 1870 census in Ohio. No marriage license in Cuyahoga County historical marriage license index. No deeds for John Crane. Time and damage have worn her name of her tombstone; only her husband's name now marks her final resting place.
