The Cuyahoga County Cemetery Inscriptions from 1934 states, "Jane Crawford, died June----." She was enumerated in the 1870 Federal US Census with her husband. Husband John Crawford was listed as 37 years old, a Quarryman, born in Scotland, with $1,500 in real property and $100 in personal value. Both of his parents were of foreign birth. Jane was listed as 34 years old, keeping house, born in Scotland, and both of her parents were born in a foreign county. The inscription on her broken headstone is worn but still legible. Jane Crawford's tombstone was a marble tablet on a base. The tombstone was eroded, had voids/losses, had moss/lichens, and broke into 2 pieces. The tombstone is a 4 for severity (1 being the least and 5 being the highest). The severity of the tombstone is due tosettling, vegetation, and weathering. She died on June 15, 1870 at 34 years old from congestion of the lungs. Her tombstone was repaired in 2009. Under type of repair completed it states, "cleaning, epoxy pieces together, mortar base, releveling of base." Under the materials used for these repairs it states, "epoxy, set-rite, monument settling compound, sand & gravel as footing."
