Cybersecurity is our life…and our passion.

The Cybersecurity part of the Caesar Center is dedicate to promoting Cybersecurity in all aspects of our lives. The Caesar Center manages the activities of?X the BW CyberSec Team in competition, Cybersecurity research, Cybersecurity education and Cybersecurity in “action” – community projects.

BW CyberSec Team

Coaches

The BW CyberSec Team is coached by Kenneth Atchinson, PE, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. Kenneth is the Cybersecurity Program Coordinator and the Director of the BW Caesar Center. Kenneth started the BW CyberSec Team in 2009 and has coached it ever since.

Assisting in coaching duties is Jonathan Cartwright, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science. Jonathan brings a wealth of “real-world” experience to the program and in coaching the team.

Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC)

The BW CyberSec Team is a group of students that participates in Cybersecurity competitions. The team participates in the following competitions annually:

Community Security Assessment

The Cybersecurity group is proud to offer FREE Security Assessments to non-profit organizations.  The Security Assessment will encompass an on-site analysis and an off-site (from the Internet) assessment.  Contact us for more details and next steps.

Collegiate Capture the Flag Competition

The CyberSec team will be hosting their 8th annual CTF at the Fall Information Security Summit, scheduled October 2022.
